Total Support Package

Each step of the production process is developed, scheduled. produced and completed IN-HOUSE. From initial design review to final production, the SMI team supports each project from concept to completion.

Product development begins with CAD file interchange. Initial SMI engineering review utilizes robust CAD software.

With final CAD file approval, tooling is designed to produce close tolerance components at efficient cost levels. All tooling is produced in-house on our CNC machining centers.

Component forming is completed on sophisticated, modern forming equipment utilizing state of the art process controls. Resulting in crisp lines, tight radii and sharp detail. The SMI process rivals the appearance of injection molding.

Five-axis CNC trimming yields extremely close tolerances. Formed through holes and vents are relieved from the back to maintain crisp edges and control details.

By reducing product development time, SMI's in-house capabilities equate to economy in component cost.
