File Formats

Send your CAD file to SMI (via Email or FTP) for accelerated estimating, tooling and production.

The following drawing file formats are accepted:

• IGS - IGES Figure Files
• DWG - AutoCad® native files
• DXF - AutoCad® drawing interchange files
• STEP - Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data is an international product data standard (ISO 10303)
• PDF - Adobe Acrobat® Files

The following image file formats are accepted:

• JPG - Joint Photography Experts Group (JPEG)
• GIF - CompuServe® Graphic Interchange Format
• TIF - Tagged Information Format
• BMP - Microsoft Windows® Bit-Map format

To upload you file to SMI click 'Submit' after choosing your CAD file.
